Questions to ask your photographer...

  1. How many wedding have you shot? Anything under 50 is a sign of someone just starting out. Nothing wrong with giving someone new a chance, but make sure their price is reflective of their skill level.
  2. What is their style of shooting? Do they do a lot of poses or more candid or maybe a little of both.
  3. Do they offer Videography? The number one comment I hear from guests or people in the wedding party is regretting not getting a wedding videographer.
  4. How many camera bodies do they have? This question is very much overlooked by couples and it shouldn't be. Why is this important? Well, pardon my french, but shit happens at a wedding. Cameras get dropped and if that is there only camera, no more photos!
  5. How many SD card slots does their cameras have? I know, this is not something most people would ask, but its actually important. SD cards are what we use to store the photos on the camera and they can fail at times, which is why most professsional cameras have what's called "duel card slots", which allows the camera to make a duplicate of every photo on a separate card. One card can fail, but the odds of both failling is extremely unlikely.
